cupcake couture

the great cupcake escape

today's feature is all about this super friendly, sweet cupcake boutique

i love their cupcakes because they are piled so high with fluffy icing. i just can't resit!

when i stopped in to photograph the shop, the door never stayed shut. it was a constant influx of customers anxious to make their pick. they graciously allowed me to continue.  i couldn't get enough of the great goodness all around me.

from the funky tables

to the cute pink boxes arranged on the wall.

this was not my first time inside. i had gotten a few once for my daughter and myself once to try after ballet class one day.  i couldn't resist the urge to return and try more flavors. of course that trip i picked toasted coconut and have been dreaming of it ever since.  funny that it wasn't on the menu this day and a customer (he seemed to be a frequent one) was so very disappointed, as was i, to make this realization.

oh, well. there's always next time!

here are some sweet shots of our choices that day.

the new MANCAKE
got a 2 thumbs up from
 my brother in law.
this cupcake is made with guiness beer and sea salted mixed nuts on top.
i knew that was right up his alley.

of course my mom dove into her red velvet

i saw on facebook the flavor of the day is

THE INFERNO...
cayenne & habanero pepper
chocolate cake with raspberry cream cheese icing &
 a fire candy topper...

now that'll get your day goin'!

head on over to their facebook page to get an update on the flavors.

check out their website here and if you live in San Antonio, you will be glad to hear they have 3 locations to serve you!!

A huge thank you to everyone at Cupcake Couture. It was my pleasure featuring your store! i look forward to coming back for more!
