What are these good for anymore?
I havent used one of these since Santa brought the Breville coffee pot.
Pick a pod and you're good to go! You know the one... anyway-
A friend forwarded me a link about making coffee filter poms out of whiffle balls.
Hmm, I thought. Sounds good. Let's do it!
So after a trip to Wal-Mart, I had my supplies and was ready to go.
It was actually very easy and I got to spend the day on my porch stuffing folded up coffee filters into whiffle balls.
I folded the filter into a cone shape and slightly twisted the point. I poked it into the holes of the balls. To my surprise, they did stay in. Many filters were doubled, so that helped.
I fluffed them open to create a tissue sphere and VOiLA!
some ribbon and a spray of Ballet Slipper Pink spraypaint =
I also had a brainstorm. What if I pinned these little flowerettes onto a grapevine wreath I had just sitting there so lonely.
Now, I think I am going to recommend a styrofoam wreath. Give it a shot of spraypaint and start pinning.
It reminded me of the balloon wreath idea I had seen on
HowDoesShe?.
A little touch of Peekaboo Blue spray paint and I was thrilled with my results.
A welcome home wreath for my new nephew!!
Yep, just another day of creative crafting!!
Gotta love it!!
So clever! I have to try this!

ReplyDeleteNothing better than Coffee and Crafts - that is wonderful !!!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea.....and if you tie dyed them (food coloring and water) and let them dry before you stuffed them it would be a great addition to your peace love and lollipop idea.
