easter baskets

Easter basket tutorial
first i start with a large white willow basket
i decide on a color theme, my mind has many, but i narrow it down.
i gather my supplies, ribbon, flowers and decorations.

i start by tying 3 bows on each handle. alternating ribbon colors. then again on each opposite side.
i like them pretty full so i use alot of ribbon. i over tie each bow on top of each other making sure each is tied tight.
then i pull or cut off 8 flowers from a bunch bought at a craft supply store or wholesaler.
i generously apply hot glue to the butt of the flower making a clean circle as i pull the trigger(i'm a neat freak about this, the glue gun and i go round and round...alot!)
pressing with enough pressure to secure the flower bud, i count to 20 making sure it is secure. nothing's worse than a flower thats slowly falls as you are glueing another and you cant stop to catch it!
continue until all 8 flowers are attached around the edge of the basket.
i tuck ribbon from the bow string to conceal the glue under the flower bud.
lastly, i decide my decoration and secure it again with a dot of hot glue. i then carefully remove any hot glue strings that may be hanging around. that is my pet peeve.

now, hop to it! Easter's right around the corner!
